How's your board tackling disadvantage in education?

The National Governance Association (NGA) has published a series of free toolkits along with guidance to help governing boards understand and tackle disadvantage in their setting.

The toolkits focus on the drivers that are impacting pupils, with practical advice and resources for boards to address them, including:

  • Poverty
  • Special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Vulnerability (including looked after children and young carers)
  • Certain ethnic groups
  • Mental health and wellbeing
