The DfE’s teacher workload taskforce publishes early recommendations to help cut 5 hours from teachers’ working week. Recommendations include scrapping performance related pay and plans for a revised list of tasks teachers shouldn’t do to be reinserted into the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD) [Schools Week].

School leader mental health support scheme extended for 3 years, as DfE promises new guidance to tackle harassment of staff.
The guidance is expected this spring, but the National Association of Headteachers (NAHT) has asked the government to go further to communicate that aggression towards school staff should never be tolerated [Schools Week].
