Governors for Schools’ ‘All pupils, every ambition’ campaign aims to help current and prospective governors appreciate the role of strong governance in encouraging young people to fulfil their ambitions. After what has been a turbulent time for pupils, we all have a role to play in helping our young people meet their full potential. Now, more than ever, we need skilled and passionate governors to help drive change in schools.
The campaign explores key components related to widening and improving access to life opportunities for all young people. We’ll show the difference governors can make through their position as strategic decision makers and explain why there’s never been a better time to volunteer.
Schools need positive, dynamic, and committed people as governors to support continuous improvement, making the most of pupils’ drive and abilities to ensure they’re able to live the fullest life possible.

Free e-Learning with Governors for Schools
Our e-Learning modules cover a variety of important topics in governance. They’re designed to help get governors get to grips with the role and deliver effective governance from their first day.
All modules are free to complete. You don’t need to be a school governor or have become a governor through Governors for Schools to access our eLearning, but you’ll need to register as a user. Create a free account or log in when you click to start a module. Each module takes roughly an hour to complete and learners receive a certificate for each module completed.

Governors for Schools is a charity that finds, places, and supports skilled volunteers as governors and trustees on school and academy boards. They operate across England and Wales, working closely with volunteers, schools, and business partners to ensure they find suitable matches that produce excellent outcomes for young people.
